Make It Happen in 2015

As 2014 draws to a close (in the next 9 hours to be exact), it’s time to start looking forward. I hate the idea of RESOLUTIONS. They are doomed from the start and quite unoriginal in their wording most of the time. Instead of writing down 5-10 sentences about what I aim to achieve, I am creating a PHRASE which will be my guiding light for 2015. And that phrase is…MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Karin Joyce

2014’s word was FUN! I was aiming to put the fun back into my life, into my life as a Mum, into my life as a Wife. And I did that! I laughed, rolled down hills, jumped into pools, danced and made silly faces. We had a lot of fun in 2014 which has helped me infinitely. I started thinking, over the weekend, about 2015 and what I hoped to achieve. I was toying over “Progress” which seemed a bit too stilted for me. I was thinking about “Bravery” but it wasn’t specific enough. And then I remembered a phrase from my past. A former boss of mine was a very empowering boss. If you had an idea or wanted to try something, he would simply say “Make it happen!” He would help you figure out what you needed to do but mainly he left you to it. Genius. That is my guiding light for 2015…MAKE IT HAPPEN!
