It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new
life year, for me….and I’m feeling good. Embrace Happy has a new purpose, a new focus, a new theme. Embrace Happy is about our family and our journey. Embrace Happy will still hold the resources and 96 posts I wrote in the past (check out the Embrace Happy Archive Category) but it will also become a virtual scrapbook for our little family. I don’t expect anyone to read except for my family and maybe some close friends. I also don’t expect any PR interest or to be on anyone’s radar or chart. I most certainly don’t expect to be shared or appear as some group’s “Blogger of the Week”. I am writing for me. I am writing for us. I am writing to share our life. And I am writing because I have missed having an outlet.
So, I will share my favourite pictures, our adventures as a family, maybe some videos along the way and I will not care one iota whether anyone reads it other than select family and friends who might find this relevant to them. I’m planning to share daily Instagram photos (@karinjoyce) and a weekly Project 365 post so I can keep track of the small moments in our life that are special and good. Not every day is good but there is good in every day after all!
I shall start today with two photos: 1 from last night and 1 from the first day of the year. I’ve been a bit rubbish taking pictures today, to tell the truth. Last night we celebrated New Year’s Eve with a very casual dinner, Prosecco and Jools Holland in the run up to midnight. Today was mostly about family time, a brief lunch out at a local garden centre and planning for the month ahead. I watched a lovely film, “We Bought A Zoo” and wondered why maybe we didn’t do the same! And then I remembered that I really hate snakes.
Tonight, I’m sitting at the kitchen table with Sam next to me on the iPad. Mark is making me an omelette and all is right with the world. Except that we’re out of Prosecco which is a real shame. Bailey’s on ice it will have to be. I hope you enjoy our 2016 journey and I’m waving a big “HELLO…IT’S ME” to my family and 4 friends who might read this. Happy New Year…may your year be filled with Happiness and CAKE!
