Have I mentioned before that I love Fridays? Yes? Hmmm, well, I do! I was looking forward to this particular Friday because I was going to give “remote working” a go with a fellow work from home Mum. We both feel that as wonderful it is to be able to work from home, it can be a bit lonely and isolating as well. So, we’re going to meet up once a month at a local cafe (with free WiFi naturally), with the permission of the cafe owner of course, to work for a few hours together. Of course, we get a bit of chit chat in as well but it’s just nice to be in the presence of others when you usually spend your day sitting at a desk at home. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and accomplished a few tasks each while working so it was a good first trial.

I finished up work later in the afternoon, picked up the children from school and shut down for a while. I was feeling really worn out by the time Friday 5pm rolled around so while Sam watched a few videos on the iPad and Ella did some drawing I had a mini-cat-nap. Ella had a Valentine’s Disco at her school Friday night so we did an easy dinner of pizza, dropped Ella off at school (we can actually LEAVE them on their own now!) and then crashed a bit. Mark totally crashed out when he put Sam to bed so he was out for the count while I managed to watch a bit of worthless telly before heading to bed before 11:30 myself. By the end of the week, I’m done! What a Rock Star life we lead!
