A Lovely Spring Day 1

Again, time has gotten away from me. We have been busy with dancing, school functions, work, Mark’s new business and the stress of daily life. I am finding the time to write for me personally is virtually non-existent. Perhaps this is because I am actually a horrible time manager? Perhaps it’s because by the time I sit down around 9pm after getting the children to bed, my brain is so fried that I can’t string together proper sentences? Perhaps it’s the rather dismissive sideward glances from my husband as I tippy-tap on the NEW MacBook Pro that I am still getting to know? Perhaps.

At any rate, we are now on our Easter Break which is really quite lovely. Having to schedule in my work hours while the children are at home is not so lovely. However, needs must! Yesterday we spent the day in our garden. Virtually the WHOLE day! From about 10am-5pm! We sat, had Elevenses, the children played with toys they had forgotten about and we opened the Shedquarters officially for the first time this Spring. It was delightful. And thanks to WiFi, I was able to work from the garden and be present while the children were entertaining themselves.

I have been spending time photographing, recording video and learning from an e-course run by Xanthe Berkeley called Creating Time Capsules. This excites me to learn more about preserving every day memories for the future. It’s also extremely useful for me in my work as I am expanding into more product photography and will be creating more videos for our brand. I snapped quite a few pictures yesterday and managed to sneak in a bit of video too. I hope you enjoy catching up with our life in this short video: A Lovely Spring Day…

It’s so hard to find the time to blog – look at me, last year I think I blogged 5 or 6 times across the whole year. I now try and set aside a certain day and time to write, but I have also decided to be realistic and to only blog once a week, deciding I’d rather commit to once a week and do it, rather than fail at blogging 3 times a week 😉 That sounds/looks like a lovely day, and long live WiFi with kids!! xx
